Wishlist: MAC

I have never been a big fan of MAC products because I've tried only four products from this brand before - brush cleanser, paint pot in Soft Ochre, Select SPF 15 Foundation and Select Moisturecover Concealer.
I didn't like Soft Ochre as an eyeshadow primer as much as other similar products and I traded my foundation and concealer for a Chanel foundation with a friend because they didn't perform as good as I'd hoped for.

Clearly four products is not enough to make a conclusion and there are still some of the things I will soon go to check out at our local MAC counter :)

Loose pigment in shade Melon - this product has been in my wish list once before and numerous Youtube tutorials I've watched make me even more curious to see if it's as gorgeous in real life as it is in the videos. Although I find loose pigments very messy, this one's been haunting me for far too long to just give up :)
Retro Matte lipstick in Relentlessly Red - another item I discovered via Youtube. It seems to be more on the pinkier side of red that usually suits me very well :)
Prep + Prime Fix + - all kinds of makeup setting sprays and face mists seem to be my next obsession so of course this cult favourite made it to the list :)
Brush Cleanser - it is by far the best product I've used among all to clean my makeup brushes. I have used up two bottles of it so far. Also, this product is very good value for money which will last you a very long time :)

Have you tried any of these products?
Do you have a favourite MAC product you'd strongly suggest?

Mul on brändiga MAC alati olnud vastakad tunded. Suurem osa ilumaailmast kummardab selle poole kuid minu kogemused pole alati olnud just jalustrabavad. Seni olen proovinud nende pintslipuhastajat, paint pot'i toonis Soft Ochre, Select SPF 15 jumestuskreemi ja Select Moisturecover peitekreemi.
Loomulikult pole neli proovitud toodet põhjuseks kogu MAC'i toodang maha kanda ning ilufanaatikuna on mulle aja jooksul mitu toodet silma jäänud. Seega võib üsna pea mind Tallinna Kaubamaja MAC'i letis luuramas näha :)

Pigment toonis Melon - see toode on ka kord varem minu soovide nimekirjas olnud ning arvukad Youtube meigiõpetused pole uudishimu selle vastu vähendanud. Kuigi nn pulberlauvärvid on minu jaoks üsna ebamugavad, on Melon mind liiga kaua kummitanud, et lihtsalt käega lüüa :)
Retro Matte huulepulk toonis Relentlessly Red - järjekordne toode, mille avastasin "tänu" YT videotele. See tundub olema roosaka alatooniga punane, mis üldjuhul mulle sobib :)
Prep + Prime Fix + - igasugused meigikinnitus- ja näospreid on minu viimase aja kinnisideed, seega ülimalt kiidetud Fix + on kindlasti toode, mida tahaksin proovida.

Kas sinu meigiarsenali hulgas on mõni MAC'i toode, mida kindlasti julgeksid soovitada?

Perfect Eyeshadow Palette for Fall - Sleek Sunset

Slowly and inevitably fall is coming upon us :)
Fall is one of my favourite seasons for its beautiful variety of colours and there's something so comforting in wearing warm jumpers and scarfs and burning scented candles.

I recently dug out one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes from Sleek - their gorgeous Sunset palette that has 12 warm-toned shadows in it. You will get 11 metallic shades and one matte shade which is black. This palette comes with a large mirror and double-ended sponge applicator.
I have five palettes from Sleek so that should be proof enough that the quality is very high.

The pigmentation of these is just perfect. These swatches are made without a primer. I would say that the black and the light blue are the ones least pigmented but will perform very well if you use an eyeshadow primer.
Also, there will be fallout so make sure you tap off any excess on your brush and maybe even do your eye makeup first and follow with the rest of your face.

These eyeshadows will look good on every eye and skin tone but they will especially make blue and grey eyes pop and look really bright. I always get compliments when I'm wearing these eyeshadows.

You can get this gorgeous palette for just 10.49€ HERE.
So if you are a fan of warm coppers and orange tones, I strongly suggest you take a look at it :)

swatches are made using two different cameras without using a primer

Soojad punakad ja oranžid toonid on just sobilikud sügisesse :)

Paletis on kaksteist imeilusat tooni, millest 11 on metallikud ehk väga sädelevad ja üks must on matt.
Lauvärvid on ülimalt pigmenteeritud, vaid must ja helesinine vajavad kindlasti enda alla lauvärvi aluskreemi.

Did you know? #4 DYI Natural Universal Cleaner

I was cleaning my bathroom the other day and thought I'd use up some of the half empty cleaning product bottles I have at home.
So I was vigorously spraying my tiles with the chemical cleaner and I almost choked on the fumes. Plus they gave me head ache and my house was stinking for hours even after I washed it off.

Did you know that there is a natural way of cleaning your house using products you usually have at home that are all natural and non-toxic?

Here's the recipe for an all purpose natural cleaner that's safe and effective:
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup of baking soda
1/4 cup of lemon juice
(few drops of essential oil for fragrance)
spray bottle

Mix vinegar and lemon juice in the spray bottle, in the other cup mix water and baking soda.
Add to the spray bottle and mix (it will be bubbly :) ).
Now add few drops of essential oil and and clean away :)

Let me know if you've tried it and what do you think of it :)

pic from here

Siin on retsept:
1 klaas vett
1/2 klaasi äädikat
1/4 klaasi soodat
1/4 klaasi sidrunimahla
(mõni tilk eeterlikku õli lõhnastamiseks)
1 tk pritsiga pudel

My face mask collection

If you've been with me for a while you know that lately I've been interested in face masks. So I've been trying out quite a few for over a year already and I think I now know what I like and need from a face mask.

The main thing about face mask for me is that I need to see/feel instant results after using it. If I don't see or feel anything special after using a mask, I'm not going to keep trying it out.
Is it the same for you?

So here are the masks I currently use. I mainly have two types of masks - ones that are suppose to clear out my skin and ones that are soothing/moisturising.
I do have some that I have tried and didn't like so if you'd like me to explain why I didn't like them, leave a comment below.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash/Mask - you can use this product as a daily face wash to help reduce spots or as a face mask to purify and unclog pores. I never use this daily as a face wash because my skin is usually clear and I don't need that kind of active acne treatment so often. But I like to use it as a mask because you only have to keep it on for 5 minutes. It clears my skin and if I have a developing zit, it calms it down and therefore it heals quicker. It can also be used as a spot-treatment. Very nice express mask when you're in a hurry. If you want to know more about this mask, please read Ruth Crilly's (A Model Recommends) blog post on it, she's just so much better in explaining things and this post was the reason I got this mask :)
Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque - this was the first face mask in a very long time that I tried and I instantly fell in love with it. I have a full review on it HERE and it made it to my 2014 favourites. It clears my skin, makes my large pores less visible and is very easy to use. And yes, I still have the old packaging which I actually like more than the new one :)
I got mine from (LINK). If you haven't ordered from iHerb before, use code LWH786 to get up to $10 off your first order.
Avon Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask - seems like this is my current favourite clearing face mask. I wrote a full review on it HERE. I can see and feel instant results with this mask - my skin is clearer and as the previous ones this one also calmed down developing hurtful zits. Love it a lottttttt :)
United Exchange Nu-pore Collagen Essence Facial Tissue Masks - I got it recently in my latest iHerb haul and haven't used it yet but I hear that tissue masks are a cult favourite :) This pack has two masks in it - Fresh Aloe that's firming, moisturising and elasticizing and Cucumber that is moisturising, soothing and purifying. I will let you know how I like them once I've used them. At the moment this product is available at iHerb (LINK) as a trial for only $0.50 (regular price $2.95).
JOIK Radiance Improving Cranberry & Black Currant Face Mask for dull and lifeless skin - I'm not a big fan of masks that I have to mix my own but it's very easy with this one. You just need one spoonful of mask and one spoonful of water or milk/herbal tea/natural yoghurt. It feels nice on the skin, doesn't dry it out, does make it feel cleaner and soft and once it dries it becomes a bit gritty which makes it a great face scrub. 2-in-1 product :)
NOVexpert The Repulp Mask - this is supposed to be express anti-aging care for all skin types. I like to use this mask at winter when my skin is dull, dry and exhausted. I remember that the first time I used this mask last winter I was in awe! My skin loved it so much! Will definitely use it again when the weather gets cold and it's perfect for more mature skin all year round :)
Natura Siberica Active Organics Anti-fatigue face mask - unfortunately I can't find a link to this product. I've used this only once and I haven't made up my mind yet so I will let you know soon. I think that for my combination skin it's more suitable for colder seasons :)
Oriflame Love Nature Restoring Peel-off mask for stressed skin - there is something very satisfying in peeling off this mask. My skin feels hydrated and soft after using it :) Another one that I mainly use during autumn/winter :)

Do you like face masks? Which are your favourite?

Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque - selle maski kohta kirjutasin SIIN.
Avon Clearskin mustade mineraalidega mask - siiani minu kõige lemmikum puhastav mask, mille kohta kirjutasin pikemalt SIIN. See mask on tihtilugu Avonis soodukaga, mil selle võib kätte saada alla 4 euroga. Hetkel kehtivas kataloogis on see veidi kallim, kuskil 5 euro ringis.
Kindlasti mask, mida just talvisel ajal kasutada ning küpsemas eas daamidele. Osta saab SIIT.
Osta saab SIIT.

Kas oled mõnda neist maskidest proovinud? Milline on sinu lemmikmask?

Did you know? #3 Coconut Oil

I suppose most of the beauty industry will hate me for this post but I wanted to remind you what you can do with a single jar of coconut oil :)

Did you know that coconut oil is so versatile?

You can use it for:
Cooking - you can use it of baking, stir-fry and instead of butter.
Face, eye, lip, hand, cuticle and body moisturiser - just take a small piece of coconut oil, rub it between your fingers and apply. Also suitable for babies and kids :)
Hair oil - again, rub a piece of coconut oil between your fingers and use it to tame frizz or as a hair oil/mask.
Makeup remover - it works wonders as a makeup remover!
Body scrub - use coconut oil and sugar to create a natural scrub for your body.
Oil-pulling - virgin coconut oil tastes good so keeping it in your mouth on an empty stomach for 20 minutes to draw out toxins and improve your oral health tastes a lot better than any other oil which makes the process less inconvenient :)

If you are interested in finding out more about the benefits of coconut oil, check out these websites HERE and HERE.

Kookosõli on ülimalt mitmekülgne toode, mida saab kasutada näiteks:

Empties #19

Just before I left for my vacation in mid July, I cleaned out some of my makeup, so I got ton of stuff to throw away.
Here's the bunch with my mini reviews :)

Hair, body, face makeup, skincare & perfume
Girlz Only Dry Shampoo XXL Volume-Plus - it's quite good and very affordable dry shampoo that does it's job pretty well regarding making your hair look fresh and clean but I didn't see the XXL volumizing effect. Also it smelled sweet and floral. I would buy it again if I needed one quickly and there were no alternatives in the store ;)
Logona Lemon Balm Balance Shampoo - this is a natural product that's supposed to harmonise unbalanced scalp functions. I got it to tame my greasy roots but for some reason I didn't fall in love with it and didn't see great results. I know that switching to natural haircare takes time but I just didn't have the patience :)
Avon Senses Mood Therapy Revitalising shower gel with acai beer extract - typical body wash that smelled really, really good. Might repurchase when it's on sale again :)
Granny Agafia Body Scrub with buckwheat and milk - I bought this body scrub from my friends' mother who goes to Russia to get them. It smelled like fresh yoghurt and was nice on the skin but nothing that special to travel the world for it :)
Hydraluron - this is a facial moisture boosting serum that has hyaluronic acid in it. My skin loved it and it sank into it within seconds. Also great under makeup. Will definitely repurchase :)
Smashbox Photo Finish and Photo Finish UVA/UVB SPF 15 primer samples - I didn't see any results with these primers. They didn't reduce the appearance of my large pores and didn't keep my skin matte. Don't get what the hype is about :)
Comfort Zone Lip Blooming Scrub - it was so expensive when I bought it but it was literally the only lip scrub at that time in one of the largest department stores we have. And it was totally useless. I was so mad! Do not recommend it at all...
Oriflame The One Everlasting Foundation in Fair Nude - I was a nice foundation with light to medium coverage and if you set it with powder your face will stay matte for like half a day. Might repurchase :)
Giorgio Armani High Precision Retouch concealer in shade #3 - this concealer is more suitable for blemishes and not for under-eye area. I constantly struggle with finding a great under-eye concealer for my dark circles and unfortunately this one didn't do the job.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion sample in Sin - I love UD primer potions but this sample that I got with my Naked3 palette is just tooooooo metallic. It's more like a liquid eyeshadow than a primer.
Ralph by Ralph Lauren - I just love this perfume and would repurchase if I didn't have like 30 opened perfume bottles already. Very fresh and beautiful scent :)

Eyes, lips & nails
Essence Lash&Brow Gel Mascara - to be honest, I didn't like this product because it didn't keep my brow hairs in place. Still in search for a good clear brow gel...
MaxFactor Masterpiece Glamour Extensions 3-in-1 Volumising mascara - MaxFactor is fast becoming my favourite brand for mascara. It gives length and volume, curls my lashes and doesn't smudge. Also, I can wash most of it off with just warm water! Definitely a keeper :)
Bourjois Intuitive Liner - this is a 3-end felt-tip liner that is great to fill in the gaps between eyelashes and also for creating a nice thin line. Unfortunately they discontinued it... I just don't understand why Bourjois did that? I'm very upset that I can't get my hands on it anymore.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in shade 95 Creme Brûlée - I didn't like the shade and formula of this lip butter and I don't feel comfortable passing lip products on to my girlfriends so it finally went to the bin :)
Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Transferproof Lip Tint in shade 120 Timeless Tango - this lip products comes in a marker form and has a clear lip balm on the other end. It really stays on for hours but it made my lips sting so I wasn't comfortable using it. Bin material again :)
Oriflame Eternal Gloss in shade ??? - this lip gloss is very sticky but at the same time it stayed on for a very long time. The stickiness was a bit too much for me, so I know I won't be wearing it.
Manhattan Long Lasting Gloss Glide in shade 56G - didn't like the formula of this one also so it was just sitting in my drawer for ages. Now it was time to get rid of it.
Carlo di Roma PURE (black) and L'Oreal Color Riche gel nail polish in 508 Amazon Flower (lighter shade) and 607 Ruf Montmartre (darker shade) - they got old and thick so it was time to throw them away.
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat - the fastest drying top coat I've ever used which is my holy grail nail product. Unfortunately, once I use up about half a bottle, it becomes too thick to use anymore. Still my favourite and will definitely repurchase :)

Küsimus minu Eesti lugejatele:
kui paljud teist loevad blogi eesti keeles? Kas eesti-keelne tõlge on vajalik?
