Let's talk tea :)

Once again, I got sick and spent half of last week in bed. And awake at night.
I was restless, had annoying dreams that led to being groggy and sleepy during the day.
So, I was digging through my tea stash and googled ingredients that might help me get a good night's rest :)
P.S. During night-time you shouldn't drink black or green tea because it has caffeine in it. 
Stick to herbal teas, such as:



Chamomile - it has mild sedative effects, relieves anxiety, stress and calms nerves.
Valerian - this herb in most often used to treat insomnia. It has sedative properties and has been used to help with sleep and also anxiety.
Peppermint - it helps to relax and calm your stomach and makes you feel less bloated.
Lavender - it slows nervous system activity, helps with insomnia, anxiety, stress and depression mostly because of the soothing aroma of this tea.
St John's Wort - it's a natural anti-depressant and also helps with anxiety.

Veetsin pool eelmisest nädalast voodis, sest jäin korralikult haigeks. Päevad läbi magamine tõi omakorda kaasa ka rahutud ja unetud ööd.
Läksin siis oma teekarbi kallale ning otsisin internetist, milline tee võiks aidata mul kergemini uinuda.
Õhtuti tuleks kindlasti hoiduda mustast ja rohelisest teest, sest mõlemad sisaldavad kofeiini.

Hoopis parem on juua tass auravat taimeteed nagu näiteks:

Kummel - kerge rahustava toimega, mis aitab leevendada ärevust ja stressi.
Palderjan - enamasti kasutatakse seda unetuse raviks. Oma rahustavate omaduste tõttu aitab vähendada ärevust.
Piparmünt - leevendab erinevaid kõhu-ja seedimisprobleeme ning puhitust.
Lavendel - aeglustab närvisüsteemi talitust, aitab ravida unetust, ärevust ja stressi just oma tugeva aroomi tõttu .
Naistepuna - looduslik anti-depressant, millel on kogu keha rahustav toime.

    Naistepunaga peab ettevaatlik olema- vähendab hormonaalsete rasestumisvastaste vahendite toimet. ;)
